Description
Prevnar 20 is a vaccine that protects against serious infections like pneumonia, meningitis, and bloodstream infections caused by 20 types of Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria, used for infants, children, adolescents, and adults. It works by training the immune system to recognize and fight these bacteria, preventing invasive disease and pneumonia, and in children, also preventing certain ear infections (acute otitis media).
